Whiteley Couriers (UK & European) Ltd have completed their longest route within the UK. We were commissioned by a large local Freight Forwarder to arrange a collection of oversized fragile cargo from Southampton for urgent dedicated delivery to Lerwick in the Orkney Isles.
The driver loaded at 9am as requested by our customer and started his part of the journey to Scotland. After a planned handover near Glasgow the second driver travelled nonstop to Aberdeen to board the overnight 12hr ferry crossing to Lerwick. After disembarkation from the ferry early the following morning it was a short run to the delivery point to be unloaded before a quick dash back to the ferry for the return journey home.
